Hulu; how to download from there ?

Doesn't anyone know how or what actually works ?!?

Please, please - do tell if you know ?!?!?!?

Was hoping to do the same with netflix, but it seems nothing downloads from there (or if there is something that works it is a big secret...).

Here's my story of why I ask:

I like to watch some good, older shows.

Used to get netflix & copy DVDs, it was very easy.

Now netflix has alot less decent stuff on DVD & nobody has beaten the downloading of it;

All the stuff that claims to actually work with their streaming content is either screen capture or recording in real-time.

I see that lots of good, older shows are up on Hulu though.

I like to mix up what I watch & watch it on the TV...whenever - so having it on DVD is best.

What I desire is some way to download the streams to files & burn the stuff to DVD;

Specifically I want to be sure to be very clear:

I do NOT mean screen capture or recording in real time !!

(If that is what I wanted I'd just set up a Roku & a VCR - no thanks.)

I have looked around here & elsewhere & cannot tell what works & what actually gets the files.

GetFLV seems to be one way to do this - but it is VERY pricey & not medicated reliably.

Please - is there anyone here who does this - makes DVDs from Hulu streams by downloading somehow ??

It amazes me that nobody here knows for certain how to do this kind of stuff ?!?
