Instead injecting dll into you're profile now they update the dlls in idm its self that's why new xpi is so much smaller. They would never be able to get a xpi with dlls approved by Mozilla . So now every time you will have update the program to get updates for that xpi .that's if if you use Gecko browsers version 40 and above . and the old xpi will work in older browsers, ESR and Palemoon .
