Did you try to open winrar up

1. Open WinRAR and go to "Options -> Settings...".

2. Now click on "Integration" tab.

3. Make sure Rar and the 2 boxes in shell interrogation are checked if not check them Uncheck and recheck them if already checked.

Are the other context menus working? Perhaps you have discovered something more that is different than usual.

All other context menu commands are working except the "add to "

I found a temporary solution I uninstall the 64 version and install the 32 version and it worked fine except the performance for the application is degraded noticeably ..

Just few minutes ago I wanted to recommend this option to try.
I am thinking a little bit, maybe there will be some kind of an idea.
Maybe it's some sort of installation package-problem, but perhaps it is some sort of problem with the registry.
Something else is hard to imagine.

I am sure it is something in the 64 bit registry that the latest versions of winrar fail to deal with.

I will try to install older 64 bit versions of winrar and see what happened ..

@ Kalju

You were right the installation package of winrar 5.21 64 bit was modified by someone who claims that the application is prevaricated ..

I download it a few weeks a go from this forum .. Now I downloaded the latest version from the vender page and every thing worked fine ..

Cheers..

Problem Solved

@ steven36

Of course you can not reproduce this issue unless you download the preactivated package somewhere in this forum ...

Thank you for your time ..

Cheers

Just an heads-up - the setting for WinRAR are not stored under the registry, as mistakenly believed (the settings are stored here.)

Beware of the "Pre-Activated" offerings... ;)

Now, I downloaded the latest version from the vendor page and every thing worked fine.

Now, you know: Always, use the installation file offered by the official vendor website.

Some folks take the extra step and even opt for a pre-activated OS - little wonder it turns back to bite their a$$es.
