Google sites not working properly

I have a problem regarding sites owned by Google (mainly Orkut, YouTube and Picasa).. They almost never open, they either keep loading for eternity or give an error (could not connect). Sometimes those sites function, but mostly not. First I thought it's a problem of G. Chrome browser, because I could access those sites with Firefox, but sometimes I can't do that even with FF, although FF almost always opens the login page (but doesn't log in, whilst Chrome doesn't even open login page).

Are some of you experiencing the same thing, or is it a problem of my computer?

Thanks.

Nope all are working fine over here. In both IE & in Chrome. I'm not sure why it wouldn't work for you but you said FF so I more than likely won't be a part in this problem's solution :)

I use Chrome, only occasionally FF to check if those sites load there.

I can access the sites at the moment, for example. I temporarily disabled ESS completely and then re-enabled it again... I don't know if it has anything to do with it. Skimming the link you gave me it seems that ESS indeed has a problem with Google sites. Still waiting for a solution though, didn't find anything good on the ESET forum.

I turned my updating mode to Test Mode (as it was suggested there). Hopefully it'll help, not sure what it does though... probably releases beta modules.

hu. I would not have guessed that a firewall could have a problem with a group of sites. Seems from the posts its mostly on Vista and W7 builds.
