Malwarebytes' Blocking Inbound IP to uTorrent

I'm using the latest version of MBAM along with the latest stable version of uT. Ever since I updated to the latest version of uT, MBAM keeps randomly detecting inbound IP addresses as threats. I added uTorrent.exe to the malware exclusion list and the web exclusion list, but MBAM is still detecting the IPs. I would just add the domains to the list but every time the MBAM notification pops-up, it's a different IP each time. This happened with version 2.2.1 of uT, but adding uTorrent.exe to the web exclusion list fixed the pop-ups on version 2.2.1.

Has anyone else experienced this? If so, do you have a fix?

yup...and it's right. uTorrent is a malware now. ...no seriously, use something else.

Is it because of the ads?

use a proper bittorrent client like qbittorrent, it's one of the most recommended bt clients, i'm using it on 2 machines and it's perfect on every private tracker

utorrent is not the client todays we knew many years ago, it's a fucking bloatware now and there is almost no private tracker that is recommending the newer versions from it...

using the old 2.2 version of utorrent is not a solution too because it's many years old, including a lot of bugs and vulnerabilities which are not going to be fixed

no, because of this.

ads are not the problem. the problem is the companies serving those ads. they will stop at nothing to squeeze every drop of personal data from your computer and then sell it.

Unfortunately, I used qbittorrent and did not like it because it would delete my download list every time I would restart the computer. It would also lose track of my seeding progress and I didn't like how it didn't save torrent files by default.

That could be too. I just decided to use uTorrent 2.2.1 anyway. It's simpler for me.

Great solution also works on free version disabling ads in advanced setting.

Anyway, MBAM still blocking traffic often

Not a great fan of MBAM - however, can't blame it for the kind of mind-boggling number of IPs that µTorrent calls (even in non-upload, non-download, idling state.) A5qMhta.gif

BTW, have just switched loyalties to qBittorrent - also trying out a few other P2P Clients.

What are you using instead of MBAM?
