I dont see how you can call him just another dead person. This man's iconic figure transcended race, and time. His music to many was the best. People all over the world recognized & respected him because of what he did both alone & with his family.

Pedo or not you have to respect what this man has done not just for the music community, but the world in general.

I wave goodbye & give my last respects to the "King of Pop".

It's strange how these things always happen in 3s. Both Michael & Farrah Fawcett (of Charlie's Angels) died today. Ed McMahon just a day or two ago.

I see R.I.P. to all three of them.

He was one of the greatest singers and same in the line of Elvis and the Beatles and his music actually extended beyond the race lines of black and white actually i think due too much public scrutiny of his public life he was misunderstood by many people but nobody can take away his music from him.

RIP MJ

It's a fact that he is/was a legend. His music was, during his 40 year career, fantastic~!

RIP M.J.

A shock! the older ones on this forum will think more of him... the younger ones will just see him as a pedo. I also thought this was an hoax.. Is this another Princess Dianna money maker hoax? who knows? the future will tell.....

I don't think so, A While ago they said he had skin cancer.. Dunno if that's true, but it means he was sick before.

Due to the sickness he died?

he was one in a million...a prodigy, something that comes once in every few generations...like Elvis T_T

I'll miss his "shapa!" and the way he always yells when he grabs his crouch

Well, I'm younger, almost 22 years now (maybe not to young :) ), but I respect him. I like his music, especially the music he recorded in 80's.

Cheers ;)

I dont do this a lot (first time actually I think) but I agree with sumant. This isnt social hysteria, the world lost the greatest entertainer who ever lived. To some this is much more important than others, but you have to look at what he did for not only himself but for the world as a whole.

Back when MTV was young, they were strictly a rock & roll channel. They were at a crossroads when MJ made Billie Jean, they had to make a choice whether to play it or not. They did. Michael was the one who opened that door. MTV opened itself to a whole new crowd with that move. Look at how it is now, multicultural as can be. MJ was the one who integrated the different flavors. No one else can say they did that.

When the President (Reagan) honors you for your charitable nature & recognizes your music, you know you've done something more than special. This man was legendary.

As far as "no one is above anyone when it comes to life & death" I have to disagree again. Having the President die will have much more ramifications on the world than having a regular citizen die. That's just how the world works. Is if fair? The world never was & never will be. Sad fact but reality...
