insanedown58
After the news of Windows being free for devices under 9 inches, a lot of these 8-inch Intel Atom Z3735 hybrids started showing up in the market, some with ridiculous prices. That said, what are your thoughts on these devices as a whole and do you think these devices will be better performance-wise when Windows 10 drops?Personally, I think they make for good Microsoft Office machines but are useless when paired with 1GB of RAM which is the trade-off for some of the insanely cheap devices. As tablets, similar to Windows phones, these are very bare and very well... boring. The lack of a keyboard for some devices also make it difficult to see if the price is actually worth it since some MicroUSB keyboards tend to get pricey. They make for great movie devices though as they usually come with a pretty screen.
spudboy
Imo they are way too small, especially if a person plans on using desktop mode whatsoever.

Fallon
Maybe students will read eBooks on these 8-inch hybrids in public transport. The portable device to drool over -the latest MS Surface- has a quite different price tag.I am always for the bigger screens for any device, except for the mobile (cell) phone.
