I grew up with a guy who's goal was to become a psychiatrist - he disappeared but I bet he became one. The main reasons to be a psychiatrist were so he would have access to and more knowledge of drugs and their effects. He loved all kind of medications - he wanted to play safe with self medication & safely have a sit down office job. .His dad was a doctor - they seemed to hate each other. Both could have used a shrink.
