[Hotmail] Big problem

Two day ago I updated ok freedom.

I thought might be good to use it as I can then access human rights information which is blocked by my i.s.p. or a third party.

So I updated it and it was running for only a few minutes.

However mailwasher pro then check all fifty nine (59) Microsoft emails and all my gmails, yahoo and bskyb (i.s.p.) emails.

I have had these emails for over twenty years (20) some of them.

So I thought, o.k. not a problem as Microsoft also blocked my fiancée's email when she used the bounce feature.

So it was a case of logging in and verifying.

I would had done every email yesterday as only four (4) required a code to be sent to an email address.

Nearly every email is linked to my paid Microsoft Hotmail account for safety sake.

Two (2) problems I had, one (1) it would not send any code to the account linked and two (2) even via telephone code collection when I changed the passwords on some of the accounts

I tried logging in and it failed.

So I went through putting in the password again during reset and it declared I need to use a different password.

I got most of the fifty nine (59) done, thirty two (32) and I went to do more today and Microsoft says I have to wait twenty four hours (24) for phone verification.

What freaking gives, why do Microsoft have screwed up software on their servers, has anyone else had this problem recently?

I went and requested help via the site with an account, answered secret question, it allowed me to enter password twice.

I tried to log in and it said we believe someone else has access to your account.

Untrue, so I answr secret question again, put in same password before and it said what is in image.

Does anyone have contact details for Hotmail, even though I pay for Hotmail I can't find any.

Given the kinda grief your system has subjected you to, in recent days - a reformat would be most advisable. B)

Two months ago I had the same problem with my Hotmail account. I solved it installing again Windows Live Essentials.

I remember that before notice that problem, I used, for the first time jv16 PowerTools, without giving too much attention on what I let him to ”clean” from my system.

jv16 PowerTools is very good program, but, not for beginners. Is one of those tools, which must be ”monitored” by you, about what you let it to do.

i see u say I tried to log in and it said we believe someone else has access to your account. are u using a program to hide your ip ?

to me it look like u usein a program or something like that proxy? use a uk ip and all is ok again i think a friend had this not long ago

u all wrong its a ip thing i use utube and things like that if i change my ip it ask me to change my passwrod but i not do that never and i get this bs believe someone else has access to your account. but if i use a uk ip my utube and gmail and things like that work fine if i am wrong tell me and ill remove this comment if it not help

Someday you should have a problem i told here coz my sister did with proxy ip

she got a problem that's why i'll not try access M$ Account with proxy ever..

My Hotmail account was also flagged and needed a verification. The problem was my VPN's changed IP

Perfectly true! If I visit my mail accounts( Yahoo, Gmail...) using a VPN program, in short time I receive a message telling that someone was logged into my account from a diferrent location than the one mentioned when I made the account, and if that person was me, I can ignore the message.

If I don't ignore the message and click on the link provided, they will consider that my account was hijacked.

Also, if I was log out, and I want to log in my Yahoo mail accounts using a VPN, they ask me a verification code.

All emails are like this if you use a vpn they have a security check that detects your ip and if you change your ip you must unlock it with the vpn on in order to keep it from locking your account . very old problem with changing your ip . the most easy way to solve it is not open email related programs when using you're vpn unless you want to unlock it with your ip changed . Its not software retailed at all your email is ip deepened . ;)

All emails are like this if you use a vpn they have a security check that detects your ip and if you change your ip you must unlock it with the vpn on in order to keep it from locking your account . very old problem with changing your ip . the most easy way to solve it is not open email related programs when using you're vpn unless you want to unlock it with your ip changed . Its not software retailed at all your email is ip deepened . ;)

I was only talking about the situation when, by mistake, the user click on the link provided in the mail message. That means as if the user say ”it was not me the one who accessed my account from a diferrent location”, and then the account will be locked until he/she follow the procedure of account unlocking.

Perhaps LeeSmithG, clicked by mistake that link. He said that in his mailbox were messages even from 20 years ago. It's easy to make a wrong step in a mailbox containing thousands of messages.

Anytime you use a vpn via hotmail, gmail ,yahoo etc your not anonymous anymore because they keep a record of your real ip .Back when i use to use these services like 2012 i had a problem if i turned on Trillian singed in any of these services it would lock me up with a vpn on. I dont use these services anymore I never have any problem . If your use email while using a vpn the smart thing to do would be to find one not ip deepened and never use it with your real ip.

Firstly I never click links in my email inbox.

Hotmail has a problem with it's Hotmail servers.

I am going to try again today.

I found out what the problem was and why I was receiving no activation codes.

This email was in the blocked senders list: [email protected]

Ironically it was in the safe senders list.

So now it's removed from the blocked senders list, codes coming thick n fast.
