Batu69
An Arctic lamprey in Alaska Right, hands up if you clicked on that partly because you thought that surely, that headline must have been misleading. You know what? You’re about to get proved wrong. And you can put that hand back down now. You look silly. So yes, back to our flying fish.See the picture up there? That’s a lamprey. They’re technically a sort of eel with teeth, but let’s call them ‘demonic water monsters’ because, let’s be frank, that’s what they are.Anyway, the good thing about demonic water monsters is – well, the clue’s in the name really: they’re in the water. You’d need to get into the river to meet one up-close, and if you go swim in a river knowing this, then it’s your own fault really.Well, until now.In the past week, residents of Fairbank, Alaska, have been finding live lampreys – sorry, demonic water monsters – on land.(Picture: Facebook) The creatures were found on lawns, parking lots, and other places where fish doesn’t normally tend to voluntarily go hang out in.Let’s have another look at the lovely beast that has been dropping from the sky:(Picture: Facebook) Great. Just great. So what’s been happening then?Luckily, the demonic water monsters haven’t casually decided to evolve into demonic sea monsters, Pokemon-style.Instead, idiot seagulls have been picking lampreys up from nearby Chena River, presumably going ‘oh god, oh god, damn it, nope, NOPE’, and dropping them into the city.(Picture: Facebook) The lessons we can take away from this are:– seagulls are terrible birds– we are never, EVER going to Alaska; this may be a rare occurrence but who knows, WHO KNOWSSource: http://metro.co.uk/2015/06/06/theres-fish-with-teeth-falling-from-the-sky-in-alaska-and-no-its-not-a-hoax-5233271/

Whoopenstein
These fish come up the Willamette river by where I live to spawn. They're completly harmless. You would have to hold one up to you for awhile to attach. Another news article that's completly B.S.
