Need a good DVD burning tool

Today I was trying to create a DVD video disc with Pinnacle Studio 16 but It is using above 90% of the CPU constantly. The setting was -

NTSC widescreen 720x480/60i, 7Mb/s

Dolby Digital 2.0, 128 kbps

Even in this simple setting Pinnacle Studio constantly using more than 90% of CPU. This is not good at all and the burning process is also damn slow.

So recommended me some good DVD video disc burning tool which is fast and uses less resources as possible.

What seems to be your reason behind using Pinnacle Studio 16 - a suite instead of a standalone? lEMe01Z.gif

I presume you can afford to be so expansive since you must be using a Intel corei7 Extreme Series CPU pumping an SSD with an awesome discrete gaming graphics - right???

After Nero, long years ago, now since 5 or 6 years, I use only ImgBurn and I am very happy with this burner. Simple, always working properly, it's very good !

I edited the video and saved it in .mp4 format. But while burning it on the DVD using pinnacle, damn, 94%.

Despite having an high-end hardware, I am personally so careful about every little thing that may contribute towards resource-hogging, ensuring that those tips are even included in my tutorials - every little drop maketh the ocean.

Alright then what's the mighty dcs18's pick as an alternative of pinnacle studio for lower end hardwares?

I always use IMGburn or CDburnerXP...

I think, ImgBurn is capable of creating data DVDs, not DVD video.

Nothing mighty about me and the others, out here - just check out the wonderful suggestions they've already made (just let go, of your obsession with that blood-sucking Pinnacle Studio - will you?) 0pk6YBv.gif

What's your choice among them?

DaTaRebell

You've got an MP4 File by Pinnacle.

The high CPU-usage is caused by converting MP4 to MP2, the standard for DVD-Video.

Don't convert this with Pinnacle, just use VSO's ConvertXtoDVD, it's fast with very good results even on smaller Hardware.

You can burn the resulting DVD directly or use after conversion every DVD-Video capable Burn-Soft.

Check out both the programs of my choice on my Start Menu - I use the portable variants, though. ;)

Do you have any video editor in mind for low profile systems?

Don't have that constraint of a low-end hardware - I would not be the right person to comment on this matter.

On my own system though, I prefer Adobe Premiere Pro for demanding video edits and Sony Vegas Pro for a swifter work-flow and collaboration.
