Little Johnny

The Owl

Recommended Posts

Little Johnny attended a horse auction with his father. He watched as his father moved from horse to horse, running his hands up and down the horse's legs and rump, and chest. After a few minutes, Johnny asked, "Dad, why are you doing that?" His father replied, "Because when I'm buying horses, I like to make sure that they are healthy and in good shape before I buy. Johnny, looking worried, said, "Dad, I think the milkman wants to buy Mum."

When I was a teenager I delivered the morning & afternoon newspapers .. helped pay for my car habit and parts. 3am till about 6am. The milkman always would stop where I stored my papers, hidden next to a closed but well illuminated gas station, and help himself to one or more newspapers for himself and a customer or two.. and leave pastries and a carton of milk. Was a very good deal for me :) He would have some good milkman stories... sounded like an interesting job.

Police would stop there too and read for free - in turn I had no worries about practicing my drifting :)
