Knightmare
I just installed updates from Windows onto my computer and after the restart, my computer was using 100% CPU. I checked Process Lasso and Process Hacker to see what was causing the issue and found that svhost (AeLookupSvc) was using 1 GB of Private Bytes and mscorsvw.exe kept launching then terminating in Process Lasso. I read online that this behavior is normal when you install .NET Framework, but before knowing this, I restarted the svhost.exe (AeLookupSvc). Should I reinstall the updates and let the files use the CPU?

steven36
I never had this trouble on this computer but on my old one some times when net framework would update it would cause high cpu and i would have to reboot and let it seat . After so long the high cpu would go away.

steven36
I did a system restore, reinstalled the updates, and the cpu is high again.Untitled.jpgYou just have to wait for it to go away it should in some hours or get a better pc .. When I had a pc with lower ram and 2 gb of mem on win 7 and low grade processor this was always happening to me . How much ram and memory to do you have on your computer and what type of processor and did you upgrade it to newer windows by any chance? I never had this problem with my AMD with Radeon HD Graphics win 8.1 x64 . Thats why when they posted all that hype about win 10 working for old low end computers it was them just trying to sell windows they will not work very well. 212eta
Many users report high CPU usage after the latest M$ Updates. It makes me wonder what the Redmond boys are doing...
Knightmare
CPU is back to normal. It is a bit odd to me though. Also when I install updates, some of my startup programs don't startup like they should. One of these that I've noticed is ESET.
H4rDw4rE
Many times .NET framework is problematic with its optimization. After installation or update we have to wait to .NET fraework finish optimization. If you interupt process then it is delayed.Best choice I notice is to leave machine until optimization done and enjoy stupid framework...Hope this is problem you seen...
