Hi everyone,

In brief:

I am having a problem launching a CORE-keygen and decided to ask the nsane.forums community for help.

The details:

I've been trying to install the following very recent scene-release:

PerkinElmer.ChemOffice.Professional.v15.0.0.Incl.Keymaker.Read.Nfo-CORE

…However, the included keymaker wouldn't start properly on the two systems I've tested it on: Win8.1x64 and WinXP_SP3.

More precisely: the keymaker crashes immediately after launching it (no UI is displayed; from the logs: ~“the .exe has stopped working and was closed by Windows”).

**with one difference in the manifestation on the old WinXP netbook I have: one can hear the included CORE-music part of the crack :), before it’s crash-closed by Windows :).

I've assumed that the file, the keygen, has not “come out” :) corrupt. I've compared it (the hashes) when obtained from different sources.

**So I've tried “the usual”:

--changing any of the compatibility settings for the keymaker .exe - wouldn't solve the problem.

--running the file in Windows safe mode wouldn't resolve the issue either but it gave me a clue what might (I’m not sure) be the actual glitch:

**In Safe mode, upon attempting to run the keygen, at least an error dialog appears. This one (“BASSMOD Music Subsystem Error”):

At that point, following the hint from the error, I decided to check if registering/re-registering a particular .dll might help (bassmod.dll).

-it wouldn't solve the problem.

So, somewhat needless to mention already, it crossed my mind that the issue is likely in the way the music is encoded into the keymaker (rather inevitably-unprofessionally expressed :))

But exactly here, I decided not to try to dig deeper into the bassmod…and lose time…, but – to ask the community! :)

So, that’s it.

I will appreciate any ideas!

And, hmm, actually: if it would happen that the keygen would simply run immediately on someone’s system without any problems, I’d be happy if he/she would decide to share its output here/with me :).

I mean: a combination of a serial number/activation code (they are not pc-configuration-specific) - produced by this keymaker – would now be completely sufficient for me (I am not ambitious to find the roots of all problems I encounter :)). And being short on time…

PS: This CORE-release is not nuked…, so it must have worked…somewhere, right. :)

on my laptop didn't open, when I run keygen start to turn the cursor, flashing the explorer windows and after that nothing more. (win 8.1 64bit)

Maybe you computer need DirectX, Java, Net Framework, Visual C Libraries.

My specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bits.

I had tested the file from @capt_blake only, and no other or new version of this crack.

**I forgot to add the CORE-.nfo and .diz files with the keygen I uploaded.

Corrected now and the combination of the three is here (also updated in my first post):

The version uploaded by @capt_blake and the version in CRT boths have same CRC check.

That’s why I like nsane.forums :) – the feedback is fast and usually very helpful! :)

Though I’ve already expressed my gratitude via the “like/thanks” e-gesture I would like once again to thank those who tested the keygen and shared, told us how this CORE-med behaved on their computers: knowledge , Kakihara73 and LOQUILLO !

So, obviously, the keymaker does work after all (unclear why: non-straightforwardly or more “universally”).

Thank you much, LOQUILLO, for the screenshot and the tips you provided.

…I still don’t know why it wouldn’t launch for me on both Win8.1 and WinXP.

I’ve checked and all seems to be fine (in full and latest) with the Visual C++ Redistributable, .NET framework and the DirectX (version 11).

I did not expect the absence of Java to be the “culprit” but I anyway tested this hypothesis (installed Java => tried to start the keygen (no change) => uninstalled Java).

**off-topic: By habit I (like many other) consider Java a security hazard and thus never keep it installed anywhere (I might be “overreacting” in this respect, of course).

However, the important to me result - by telling here about the issue I have with this keygen:

--From the screenshot LOQUILLO provided I got (somewhat surprised, smilingly :)) exactly all the info I needed to install ChemOffice Pro v15.0 and activate it "in a machine-independent way, with a permanent key”! :)

So I am happy!

…and for the time being won’t pursue further finding the local causes of this keygen-“trouble” :).

I installed Windows 7 inside a virtual machine then run the keygen.

That solved the issue and the program runs flawlessly!

 

Now I can enjoy ChemDraw!!
