nsanedown blocked by ESET

Eset takes a fallacy!...
In any case, the page is clean for the web protection of Kaspersky set to maximum level
Kaspersky, intelligently, tries to block only this page of Nsane forum:

And then what does Google Chrome?

Obviously they will. Could AVs update fast.

Two recommendations for those who want to switch over to other antivirus: 1. Mbam 2. Kingsoft Antivirus

Instead of adding www.nsanedown.com try adding *nsanedown.com* (the star signs are important).

It WORKED!

Don't foget "*" star sign on adding nsanedown to the whitelist.

Thanks guys!

These are not exactly the smartest jokes, and today is not the first April too, wasn't well yesterday. Very out of place jokes.

None of the web page can not somehow get infected, if there is any crack-finding URL only. Also can not be infected any web address, for example the server can become infected, but not the address of the page.

I think the reason for this virus detection is that in the nsaneforums.com pages we included (no longer) a link to piwik.nsanedown.com (our statistics application) and ESET now recognizes this as a hacking attempt.

We've updated this URL to piwik.nsaneforums.com (actually both of them work now) to avoid issues on the forums.

Threads merged since it didn't make sense to keep two threads about the same thing.

About the whole "infection" issue, of course ESET would say it's infected since it's the best way to get the message across by dumbing down the user's IQ, making him question himself on weather the respective site is safe or not.

Look pplz, we av company...we got big brains...we better than u and what we don't like to mention is that we're the same guys who release viruses because without them we'd be going out of business.

This is their pathetic way of a last stand against our site and 'fix' supplying and I find it hilarious how the go about and block anything and everything with the word "nsanedown" in them, like they did with that 7converter site which isn't illegal by any means.

I guess this goes to show you how childish they really are, as if after all these years they still couldn't get that piracy equals profit and the more said product is pirated, the popular it becomes leading to more and more users buying a valid license (or renting one for one year, which I find hypocritical since when you buy something, you're supposed to own it forever not give it back after one year has passed then be forced to rent it yet again).

I don't think this will stop so either everybody will whitelist it or move to another brand altogether.

Any antivirus program that censors websites on the basis of content and not security isn't an antivirus program worth using, unless you're the kind who likes big brother essentially forcing parental controls onto you. I'm glad I ditched ESET over a year ago. ;)

Nsane is their best advertiser. This thread (and their actions itself) their biggest critic. I'm seeing a huge hole in their pockets in the visible future.

People are greedy, even if you give them 1 year ESET key they would ask if you could provide them 2 yrs key.

That being said many can not afford software products, and helping them get it will impact that company in a way that they will greatly benefit once one is capable to purchase their software.

Another problem is that many through marketing are trying to sell their crapware and are limiting testing edition,

allowing people to try full version before purchasing it is one more reason.

People are not going to buy Kaspersky or ESET only because they are unable to activate it,

they will switch to other products that can be easily be activated or even switch to free alternatives.

That is why their steps are, to me, illogical.
