Yep patch is needed, i tried a clean install and copied the exe and player folder and i got same expire message

And also if it can patch without antivirus will be great

and also do not use a valid license (like copying settings.dat) after patching! everything should be fresh. after everything is ok, you can continue using your new settings.dat for future versions.

I think you can also use AV with this patch. access forbidden to bitdefender.btinstall so I can't test it (even legit users are complaining about this)

try this patch. I've tested this for the latest beta build and streamed game of thrones. it should also patch previous versions.

patcher crashes when there's a third party bundled section (like opcandy) but the patch is applied without a problem :)

and make sure you've disabled auto updates or the crack will be void!

you still need the player folder from previous posts or you'll get the freeplayer again.

as I said before it was that settings.dat :D

does 1% thing really matter? as long as it works it's a no for me :)

really strange. only you have this problem right now. may be I can connect via TeamViewer to a virtual machine you own and test it there? you don't need any settings.dat. just delete old one and let it create a new one.

1- Install uTorrent then close it

2- use the patch but don't open uTorrent yet (If you don't want freeplayer folder)

3- copy player folder

Note that if you have uTorrent.exe behind the patch it will fail remove it or rename it also the patch will give you error ignore it

when you start uTorrent for the first time it may give you error just close it and run it again it will work fine

Nope.. Nothing makes it work for me just like knowledge.. Will wait till knowledge would make it work, will try again then.

finally solved the problem with the help of knowledge. the main cause is the old pro license which is still stored somewhere in your systems and it prevents the patch to function as intended (as I suspected).

I'll release a new patch so all users (including valid lic holders and free users) would benefit from pro features.

so stay tuned!

patch any build uTorrent (including betas) with this patch. it'll export license details into your registry (it's safe, don't worry) and patch the exe file.

if you get a crash message from the patch don't worry uTorrent.exe will be patched anyway. I showed knowledge the reason of it and it's a cosmetic issue right now.

after patching run your copy and let it upgrade to pro version. the progress may take some time so be patient.

apply patch everytime you update uTorrent or the features will stop working.

as a side note: the included license is valid till 3 Nov 2015. if you apply patch after that time, set your date before it. apply patch as usual and start uTorrent. it'll upgrade to pro and then you can set your date back to normal

and last but not the least: I'd like to thank knowledge for his helps on addressing the issue and finding the license key.
