You will have to totally remove the program and all registry entries and folders. There are tools on nsane to do this. Start over with internet disconnected before you ever install it.

could you please provide the link? :D

You could find this for yourself easily, by simply searching this forum.

Batch file to clean-up your IDM (all credits to Dukun Cabul):

Download (IDM_Cleaner.rar) from the following link and then extract the contents before running the (IDM_Cleaner.bat) with administrative privileges:

Works fine, but needs a little updating with the latest posted CIDR IP Ranges you have provided.

RemoteIP:    50.22.78.28/30,50.97.41.96/29,169.55.0.224/30,169.55.40.0/28,184.173.149.184/30,184.173.188.104/30,185.80.221.16/28

As of today all IP ranges listed in first post are already added in IDM-Easy.Way.v1.2 :)

Not identical ranges in v1.2 vs current post #1.

169.55.40.0/28 vs 169.55.40.5/28
185.80.221.16/28 vs 185.80.221.18/28

These IP ranges may not look identical but have same effect in CIDR format. :)

In other words
184.173.149.184/30 = IP range (184.173.149.184 - 184.173.149.187)
184.173.188.104/30 = IP range (184.173.188.104 - 184.173.188.107)
50.22.78.28/30 = IP range (50.22.78.28 - 50.22.78.31)
50.97.41.96/29 = IP range (50.97.41.96 - 50.97.41.103)

You can always do this with all AV as long as there is IP range field ;)

Getting fake serial pop-up after adding those IP ranges in WFC block list.

Yes I have added all those IPs. Still showing the fake serial pop up.

I think this is the end of the firewall method. IDM have won the battle.

@NOP-X4

Is there news about your  IDM-Easy.Way.v.1.2.rar   with IDM 6.25 build 25 ? :)

IDM-Easy.Way.v.1.2 should work fine with 6.25 build 25. :)

If anyone is getting "Fake-Serial-Message(s)" then run IDM Cleaner.bat, re-install IDM and run IDM-Easy.Way.v.1.2.

The IDM cleaner.bat seem to have some problem. When I run it, a command prompt window pops up and keeps on dancing (opens and closes continuously). I need to restart the computer to get rid of that situation.
