How to remove dead pixels

I've read about this in several places previous and it has had generally pretty good success.

Basically all you need to do is: Get a ball point pen and poke the pixel!.

Its recommended to get get really close to the screen and use a single colour on the screen (so its easy to see the pixel). Also be careful to not apply considerable pressure.

Competition? There isn't a need for a competition to help others! :yes:

@demonon: LoL :cheers:

I think this mainly fixes stuck pixels.. I had one that'd show up once in a while in green but it'd disappear by simply pushing it with my thumb a bit..

Haven't seen it again in a year I think.. Still have another green one tho.. Not sure if I dare to poke it.. I barely notice it.. Only when the screen's totally black/dark..

edit: ok, I tried it out.. http://neowin.files.googlepages.com/after.jpg what should i do next?

^^jk.. :rolleyes:

Applied this technique yesterday and it worked :D

(Stuck pixel though, not a dead one. Stuck = white or other color, dead = black.)
