Post title is a bit misleading - made me curious - but 'beautiful trees' would have just as well.

I liked this one the best:

Around here the average home...:

Is responsible for the deaths of many, many precious, slow growing hardwood trees each year just for firewood.

My landlord's house alone used 20 cords of such wood this year - such a hideous waste.

Here I have a rocket type stove as my only form of wood-fired heat and used less than 1/2 a cord for the entire heating season.

A lot of what I burned for heat was simply junk mail, excess paper and tree drops collected by hand from the woods behind the house.

On days that were just cool all that was needed is a tiny electric heater in any room that is in use.

My points being that there's no chainsaw in my life and I abhor how wasteful folks are of these precious trees who stand patiently - providing good air for us to breathe so generously.

Until we kill them for fuel...grrrrr.
