QTranslate is a free translator for Windows (Windows 8/7/Vista/XP/2008 Server/2003 Server). With this small utility, you simply select the text you want to translate and then press hot key (Ctrl+Q to show translation in the popup window or Double Ctrl click to show the translation in the main window). The program also has the ability to speak text (Ctrl+E) and perform a dictionary search (Ctrl+Alt+Q). Also, you can open the main window and type text manually.

Thanks to Gugudoll for the update.

Strange software even when downloaded from the software site when you try to install it under name of software company it says unknown. Also Explorer do not recommend installing it. The antivirus Norton says is not safe.

If anyone knows information from this company, please let us know.

For me is not safe installing it, more when you have Google translate to do the job.

This is an excellent alternative...

Hi

This is what I think:

1. We can not compare the two, one is a tool that concentrate the power of a set of the most powerful/used translators/dictionaries available online;

2. Your alternative is a offline version of it that is updated from time to time.

3. Does it works well with non English languages?

Thanks for your input.
