Just tried that too, it doesn't change color of text and background, a must for me.

Everytime I open a document, I click the arrow to close the sidebar (Tools Pane) containing Export PDF, Edit PDF etc. If I close the document and then open another, the sidebar always comes back even if I close it, does anyone know how to close it permanently?

I have the same problem, even in Acrobat Firefox plugin!

Did anyone manage to hide the sidebar permanently?

It seems to be considered a "feature" and to get rid of this annoyance (like the left pane in Acrobat XI) enough users would have to vote to have it permanently suppressed.
