eMule is a peer-to-peer file sharing application for Microsoft Windows. Started in May 2002 as an alternative to eDonkey2000, eMule now connects to both the eDonkey network and the Kad network. The distinguishing features of eMule are the direct exchange of sources between client nodes, fast recovery of corrupted downloads, and the use of a credit system to reward frequent uploaders. Furthermore, eMule transmits data in zlib-compressed form to save bandwidth.

The eDonkey network is still alive and well.

Check out how many hundreds of thousands of servers that are still running.

I like the DaZZle or RapCom mods of eMule.

Good stuff on there.

Edit: Check out eMule 0.60. It now accepts Torrents.

ofcourse?? the previous update was in 2010..

thats not a problem if the software is stable, there will be less things to change.

now if you want more fast changes, then give new ideas to them and post them in their forums, or if you are a developer, then start with the source code and submit your contributions to be included in the next version.

Yes, it's still quite popular in some countries, specially China.

if you use torrents you still can continue using eMule.

for example I use three P2P clients: eMule, qBittorrent, and SoulseekQt.

Oh, I know, but I usually only find what I'm looking for on the Bittorrent 'network'.

I also use ares and shareaza...rarely find anything, plus the ares network is plagued by rogue results leading to "pay to remove the ads" sites...

Eset tells me HTML/ScrInject.B.Gen virus and blocked the page.
