Really Avira is confusing me since the name of products

has been changed or modified or integerated together whatever ..

now if you install avira internet security it turns to avira antivirus pro after update itself

and if you want install avira internet security you need to

install the same avira antivirus pro plus avira sustem speedup

i don't understand any thing from avira now

and they never had any information about their products

like file version version

so i must download every time new products to compare the HASH

can any one explain all details about AVIRA plz

It's simple

Avira Antivirus Pro = old Internet Security, Avira removed all Firewall Features etc.

Avira Antivirus Pro with System Speedup = Avira Internet Security Suite. the Speedup feature is quite useless IMO

Avira Ultimate Protection = with useless Backup features, get Acronis :)

So, I'd recommend Avira Antivirus Pro in all cases, and get CCleaner for the "speedup". IF you want to use Avira anyway :D

I already block host before use the key file 2020, but none working. Somehow, It just activate one key until Sep. 2015. Then, when I go to Amazon.com, it can not display the website except when I turn off the web protection. So I just uninstall it and go back Avast for good.

good answer u made it clear for me now

so my question was .. why we still have in NSANE all old name products

i hope that NSANE make it clear for members also

so i hope we see only the new names for avira products as u explained to me in ur post

this is what shows to us in NSANE

FlcUQqh.png

btw: one time when i was using avira every time i setup avira internet security and i do update

it turns directly to avira antivirus pro

so i did some search in net till i found that avira doesn't offer firewall any more

and it keeps windows firewall only and says it is enough :( :(

Avira is not the best any way.

Nonsense. Avira has been one of the best around for quite a long time. Consistently in the top five since the last 1/4 of 2013. Go through the months and see where Avira stands. You can also change it to performance tests and see where it stands in that aspect. http://chart.av-comparatives.org/chart1.php?chart=chart2&year=2014&month=12&sort=1&zoom=2

I would highly doubt that it is one of the best. Maybe in terms of signatures, but nowadays, that's not worth a shit :D

Yet neither give any detailed information as to why. ;)

Because it only depends on signatures - which by now, sucks. It's better to have a decent proactive protection :)

I would disagree for two reasons. 1) Behavioral protection can suffer from the same flaws as signatures. A virus writer can work around that and then it would again rely on an update. It is still dependent on "signatures", albeit in a different way. 2) Avira does use proactive protection.

All Avira Suite, Base on AV Pro, except Free Version

Avira AV Pro 15.0.8.650 [Windows] Feb 16, 2015 [167 MB]

This is version 15.0.8.644, which is the current version of Avira Pro. Downloading Pro straight from the Avira site is also still 15.0.8.644.

I believe you have an outdated source. Proactive on x64 was fixed in Avira some time ago, and it works fine. :)
