HDMI
Is this x64 installer will work with our add-ons?I think not, because they are written in x86. So what is the purpose of this x64 version,if add-ons dont work?
jofre
@HDMI : If your machine accepts x86 and x64, you may install Firefox for x64. All add-ons will stay like they were on x86 -( Confirm that first ) and then you may uninstall x86 . Already did and all is fine. :) You will notice Firefox with a much better speed . mancode20
The 64 bit version installs over 32 bit one with all addons intact, or do you have to uninstall it first? I read somewhere that you can't install both 32 bit and 64 bit versions at the same time. Does the 64 bit one install in its own directory? steven36
Just uninstall the old one out of x86 folder and leave your profile and install that one it will use the same profile . You can always back up your profile and bookmarks .https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profilesAlso you can use different Firefox versions by using Multiple Firefox profileshttps://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Multiple_Firefox_ProfilesBut its much easier to just use portables for browsers that's not your default ones .If you want to be able run more than one at a time. You will have to add the -no-remote command line switch to start the (second) version of Firefox that you only want to use occasionally. The -no-remote switch hides the browser, so it can't be detected and you can't open an external link in a browser started this way, so do not use this switch to start the default browser or profile. This switch works for starting the same Firefox version with a separate profile and for starting another Firefox version with its own profile.Without this switch the startup code Firefox will detect that a Firefox instance is already open end will open a new window in that instance and you won't be able to start another Firefox version.https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/974208Also you could use Cyberfox and Firefox both and not have to make switches . :)

Ive even switched profiles in to different forks like Firefox to Cyberfox . Cyberfox to Firefox and it still worked fine . If you ever have trouble there's a reset button were you can make a new one and it will back up your old one . But the way I do it. I Back up my profile and my bookmarks and put it were it goes . I can even reformat and use my old profile lol.
mancode20
Thanks for the replies. I have had numerous crashes with the 32 bit Flash Player when doing simple things just as fast forwarding a video on certain sites. Never Youtube, but other sites. I get that annoying the script has stop responding error. Yes, I have tried turning off protected mode and hardware acceleration. Is the 64 bit Flash better? Is it even stable? Anyone have an offline installer link for it? Nevermind. I'm using the 64 bit version now. It does seem a little faster in loading pages.
