FileZilla is a powerful Open Source FTP/SFTP client with many features. It includes a site manager to store all your connection details and logins as well as an Explorer style interface that shows the local and remote folders and can be customized independently. The program offers support for firewalls and proxy connections as well as SSL and Kerberos GSS security. Additional features include keep alive, auto ascii/binary transfer, download queue, manual transfers, raw FTP commands and more. A nice program for beginners and advanced user alike.

Thanks to Adriano for the update.

Beware, SF is pushing an installer that includes useless crap. to dl the clean version, go to the project's homepage and select more download options, there's the link to the clean version, offline installer.

Actually that is why we give a download link of the setup from the master server (to avoid the additional crap to be included).

Agree 100%. It is the result, if I use the link, given in the first post.

Somehow that download host is not cleared with your security setup, so it gives a false alarm I guess.

Are the portable versions effected by this extra ad crap that you guys are talking about?

The version we link to is made by Portableapps.com, so no.

I'm sorry to disagree with you, but the link you posted gets a 733kb file with the SF icon, which is NOT the clean, offline installer. it's the crap installer.
