qBittorrent is a multi-platform Bittorrent client developed in C++/Qt4. The qBittorrent project aims to provide a Free Software alternative to µtorrent. Its main features are its integrated search engine (allows searching for torrent from the main torrent Web sites simultaneously in a transparent fashion), its support for l'UPnP/NAT-PMP, Bittorrent protocol encryption (Azureus-compatible), Peer Exchange (PeX) compatible with µTorrent, IP filtering (eMule-like "ipfilter.dat" or PeerGuardian filters), Torrents (and the files they contain) prioritizing, remote control through a secure Web User Interface.

How to set for optimum qBittorrent
----------------------------------
go to tab tools > options > Connection Port
don't used default port 6881 used random port
max upload speed of your internet connection? Put ~80% of that in the upload speed limit.
The yellow icon at the bottom should be green if you have incoming connections.
if you want to do MOSTLY seeding then you might want to adjust the cache settings (increase),
put a limit on the download speed and leave the upload speed unlimited.

as long as you're do not web search within qBittorent, No Need to Install Python.

qBittorrent 3.1.12 after installation didn't launch for me on windows XP, Please confirm

I'll try Installed on Windows XP sp3 / 4, let you know.

Try to used Portable version, posted by 212eta RUN IT, IF OK, then switch to your prefer version.[1st uninstall your previous qbitTorrent]..Give it a try. I would Tried to download windows with Magnet

It didn't work on clean windows xp installation with all updates and drivers present. (For me) Two different installations of windows xp sp3. PC is very old Athlon XP 2600+ 512MB DDR1, maybe something is going wrong on windows xp installation. Thanks.

then get a newer pc so you can use at least win7 or win8. 512 Mb of ram is almost nothing
