AdBlock Edge is better on Firefox than uBlock after several months testing - too much is blocked or overfiltered in uBlock and this slows down traffic.

Sure you can spend time doing detective work, but i actually like to just use my PC :)

Mona,

Add uBlock to Chrome. After install, right click on the icon for uBlock and select Options. Under Options select My Filters. Copy and paste the urls into the box and then click Apply Changes, you should be good to go then.

@ hamslammer

When I had tried for the first time - I actually had done everything the same way you instructed me but forgotten to click Apply changes.

That's why it didn't work for me in the first place.

Anyway THANX FOR YOUR HELP ! :)

@ anuseems

I'm a FF (strictly PaleMoon) person as well. Chrome is just my reserve browser.

Why "for n00bs" ? Read a post above ! :P

Cool but i myself have tested both..And for me Ublock swings it simply because activating all filters makes no difference on performance..And web pages load in like 1 sec..

I'm never going back to ABP OR ABE for Firefox that's the furthest thing from my mind I waited for years for a decent low ram ad blocker to come out for Firefox . I dont use Chrome anymore .because of privacy reasons .. You can read more about at this vpn site

https://www.privateinternetaccess.com/forum/discussion/8204/how-to-stop-webrtc-local-ip-address-leaks-on-google-chrome-and-mozilla-firefox-while-using-private-i

Opera , Iron and the rest of them still have the same flaws as Google . I just use Maxthon for a spare browser now .

Haha ! I was sarcastic on calling yourself n00b.. bec one who spends credible time on nsane passes the n00b level easily. And yes every moment is a new learning.

As far as benchmarking on chrome there's bad memory leak with extensions Making it imposable to benchmark to see witch is best for it

Issue 441500: Popup UI of extensions causes systematic memory leaks (can be massive for complex popup UI)

https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=441500

this bug has been known since DEC still no fix in sight

As far as this issuse

Issue 457492: Creating an option to block webrtc to prevent IP leakage

https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=457492

Its not a bug they added this on purpose any site that has a stun server can check for your real ip using a vpn .

So if you use chrome any flavor chances are your real ip is leaking if you use a vpn and if you use extensions its a great big memory hog ;)
