SnakeMasteR
Wireshark. Start a capture with the downloading process, stop it and filter the results for "http" or "ftp" and there you go.
UpGrade
I like to know what software can track/trace/monitor and get the download links when you run those online installers fileLike those online installers from Cyberlink and Adobe flash playerAny help & suggestions? Thanks in advanceSoftware like WireShark is probably the best way but if you have an online installer already on your HD then you can also do it this way:1. Open the installer2. Open Task Manger3. Go ahead and proceed with the installation on the installer4. Wait until the installer says installing rather than downloading (or just monitor any new processes that appear in task manager)5. Once it says installing locate the installer in task manager (Sometimes it will be a separate process so select the new one if that's the case) then right Click and select "Open file location"6. A folder will open and you will see the full installer inside (be sure to copy it to a location of your choice before you close it, as some installers will delete themselves upon closing)NOTE:Installers vary so it may not work on all of them but it works on most, and some you will need to enable you pc to show hidden files and folders as some installers will hide the file!As most installers vary slightly you might not follow exactly to the word steps 4-6 but its all very similar in any case you should understand how it works and be able to figure it out for different installers. This could be explained a little better but i am in a rush and don't have much time right now, but if anyone would like a clearer explanation with screenshots just tell me and ill do it when i have time. bogeyman
Wireshark. Start a capture with the downloading process, stop it and filter the results for "http" or "ftp" and there you go.After messing with Wireshark, thats the tool I looking for.. Thanks alot n0_risk!@UpGrade : I wanted to locate the URL addresses those online installers communicate with their host, not the file downloaded to the temp folder. Still thanks,, your info is helpful in some way

alienvi
WM Recorder, displays the url, once it starts to download.. and you may try other streaming video downloaders also.. of course wireshark is one of the best, but that's a techie's tool kit rather than that of a common user..
