Gallups, in explaining that the third trumpet is described as “Wormwood,” drew an interesting correlation to the 1986 nuclear disaster at Chernobyl in Ukraine, noting that Revelation 8:11 given to Apostle John at Patmos was, “And the name of the star was Wormwood.” Gallups said “Wormwood” translated into modern Ukrainian language becomes the word “chernobyl” or “chornobyl.” The Chernobyl nuclear facility is located in Pripyat, Ukraine, close to the Dnieper River. When reactor No. 4 blew, it spewed a fireball of radioactive, flaming rubbish that rained down on the population below.
