Symantec withdraw their participate almost 3 years if remember correctly since they disagree with File Detection Test which they were POOR.Go to Wilders or AV-C homepage/forum, you will find answer

Bizarre™
No offense to Norton fans, but the AV is so f*cking slow that it will probably take 100 years to finish auto-scanning a flash drive.
Siddharta
What I really wonder is whether the PCs in which these tests are/were carried out are already infected with the malware or if they give a chance to the antivirus to get installed in a clean PC before infecting them. The results could differ altogether for instance in the "File detection test" -_-
The Owl
No offense to Norton fans, but the AV is so f*cking slow that it will probably take 100 years to finish auto-scanning a flash drive.Really then either you tried it on a crap machine or one that was full of crap, My machine if I just limit to the C Drive can be scanned in less than four minutes and that's a 128 SSD

steven36
No offense to Norton fans,Seems to be the one selling anything right now much is Symantec it took NOD32 place in the market share .. but I thought Symantec was slow when I tired it back a lot years ago still that slow? Most every one uses Free Antivirus. Most people who come on here they only use what they use because of cracks . leaked serials or giveaways If they didn't have these alternatives to activate they would be using free too. . :P

All the same, I didn't know a computer with i5 processor and only has Office installed is crap :troll:
The Owl
well Norton auto scans are done in the background without me even noticing till a notification comes up that its finished. well either you haven't tried the latest few editions i.e. say 2012 onwards or the "i5" doesn't have enough ramthis handles it fine
