Bitcomet Issue

Recommended Posts

I installed Bitcomet because my luck with other torrent clients has been little to none with them working 100%. I like how fast the downloads are, but there is a yellow light in the bottom corner which says that my listening port is blocked. I remember having this issue when I installed Bitcomet years ago but I don't remember how to fix it. I searched online and they told me to check my firewall settings, which I did, but I don't see anything unusual. I'm using ESET 7 and Peerblock. I excluded Bitcomet from ESET--which did nothing--and I tried to see if the IP is blocked in Peerblock, but it isn't.

Any suggestions?

Have you opened the port in your router that Bitcomet uses?

In Eset open advanced setup
network - rules and zones
open setup for zone & rule editor
under the general tab, check the action box to "allow"
under local tab browse for bitcomet application & add the port number bitcomet uses.
Then ok each dialog box.

I'm using EAV not ESS. There are no network settings, only protocol settings.
