Lacius
Out of my own curiosity, is there any particular reason you need Windows Vista instead of Windows 7 or Windows 8.1?

The Owl
not all people like windows 7 mad i no or 8.1 or 10alot of people like older lol like xp and so onI have one machine running on XP out of all the machines here and its a legal copy (SHOCK HORROR  ) :sorry: mind you even that machine is a fast one (Barton 3200 with 3Gb ram)But honestly if your machine has a multi-layered CPU you would be very foolish not to use a OS capable of taking advantage of it by using W7 upwards

Paft
To be fair Vista is fine after the service packs. I will of course always take 7 over Vista.----------You must be doing something wrong, blueriver649.First of All...What is the make and model of the laptop? I ask because then we can check if the manufacture supports drivers for 7+ and whether you need 32 or 64 bit. I generally prefer to install drviers the laptop manufacturer supplies over regular drivers/mass driver installers. Here are 7 iso:https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B6bNnleDp7llcGdMR3FEcjRjTGM&usp=sharing#listUse something like Rufus to create a bootable USB:http://rufus.akeo.ie/I will post/edit Vista iso's soon. Dinner time.edit 1: Does the laptop have a recovery partition? Goggle "laptop model recovery restore"
