I have one machine running on XP out of all the machines here and its a legal copy (SHOCK HORROR :ph34r: ) :sorry: mind you even that machine is a fast one (Barton 3200 with 3Gb ram)

But honestly if your machine has a multi-layered CPU you would be very foolish not to use a OS capable of taking advantage of it by using W7 upwards

Hi Lacius,

A laptop of my friend is not booting and its Os is Vista business, I tried to boot into Windows 7 USB but it didn't either. I would like to try to boot in Windows Vista USB

To be fair Vista is fine after the service packs. I will of course always take 7 over Vista.

First of All...What is the make and model of the laptop? I ask because then we can check if the manufacture supports drivers for 7+ and whether you need 32 or 64 bit. I generally prefer to install drviers the laptop manufacturer supplies over regular drivers/mass driver installers.

why not go via a DVD some of the older lappys will not boot via USB
