AnyDVD 7.5.6.0

AnyDVD works in the background to automatically remove the copy protection of a DVD movie as soon as it's inserted into the drive, allowing you then to backup the movie using a DVD backup tool such as CloneDVD and CloneDVD mobile. You can also remove the RPC region code, thereby making the movie region free and viewable on any DVD player and with any DVD player software.

Thanks to Adriano for the update.

[serial works]

This is the first time I have used AnyDVD with a Blu-Ray disc. My example is X-Men: Days of Future Past.

AnyDVD prompts to use "Online Protection Database". I understand the need for this. BUT... usually, anytime, U allow this software internet access of any kind, It reverts back to trial? Can someone confirm this? Or, explain further?

[Hopefully, someone using either the working serial or BRD patch can explain their experience copying Blu-Rays discs with this software]

[As a contrast, I have used DVDFab, w/o internet access, to successfully copy several Blu-Ray discs]

Bluray is online database only thus will do you no good. Your best bet for this situation is to purchase a key. I did yrs ago and don't regret it even though I have never used it. lol I have it if I need it.

Thx! That's too bad. Purchasing a key is very expensive. I had thought that the combo of CloneBD and AnyDVD might be an alternative to DVDFab for Blu-Ray discs. The only scenario with AnyDVD and Blu-Ray I have not tried is a "Trial Reset". I don't know if Slysoft allows Blu-Ray functionality in Trial mode?

If you use the trial reset app, it hasn't been updated from the author in a while thus is outdated. I have a modded version of it which works on most apps (better then the ol version) if you want it. Just let me know and I will get it off my ext hdd for you. I haven't tried it with anydvdhd but if you wish to I will upload for you.

Thx! I would like that. Although, does Slysoft allow Blu-Ray/HD functionality in Trial mode?

Make sure to uncheck box to NOT use their download manager app. Just a heads up. ;)

Note: I remember there use to be a trial reset specific for anydvd but I don't have it. I don't remember who made it but back then it was working, who knows about now. Maybe something to research on your behalf.

i'm guessing that you're referring to DR PC Putte's Trial Reset. i'm sure there is/was a more updated version (1.5??) but i found that i didn't work as well as v1.2...

What I found on my HD:

"AnyTrial.exe" - v0.2 - Coder.......: JohnWho - Date........: 01-17-2011 [This has worked in the past]

I also found "Fox Killer v8.exe" and "novakiller.1.9.exe", but do not know much about either of them.

Obviously, all of these are "aged". At the moment, the "serial" from the front page is holding up. The question is how long? If and when, my AnyDVD install goes to trial, I will try "AnyTrial.exe" and test on a Blu-Ray disc.

It don't mean "squat" until it works and works for Blu-Ray/HD copy in trial mode.

AnyDVD prompts to use "Online Protection Database".

@TheEmpathicEar my experience has been if you are willing to wait a month or two, the database within the program is updated and you can then back up your Blu-ray with AnyDVD. So it surprises me that you could not back up X-men. The newer Blu-ray movies generally almost always want internet access. It's why I almost always use MakeMKV or DVDFab and not AnyDVD. But I think you will find that soon you won't be able to burn to DVD or Blu-ray discs at all, because discs are a dying technology. My local Costco dropped the sales of discs months ago because people are not buying them. It is why I made the suggestion to you earlier to rip your backup to a hard drive and use Cyberlink or some other player. Those are the two issues I see working against you. And it's why I don't use AnyDVD for Blu-ray anymore. I am just making a suggestion and I think you will find ripping to hard drive with MakeMKV or DVDFab, and using cyberlink as a player, convenient and you will adapt to this easily.

1. I shop at MicroCenter where there are still plenty of blank media - DVD, CD, Blu-Ray, etc.

2. It does seem as if AnyDVd is problematic with new Blu-Ray discs.

3. *** My home theatre Blu-Ray player [no internet connection] seems to have trouble with subtitles unless there are .SRT.***

3.a. I need to do more testing with Blu-Ray rips.

3.b. At the moment, DVDFab does not seem to be able to produce .SRT subs. This means I need to "jump thru some more hoops"

3.c. I have tried CloneBD and it seems "buggy" at the moment. I tried it last night and the transcoder crashed. I'm sure this will get better. I am not sure if CloneBD allows you to create .SRT subs directly?

Dear friends,

First of all i have to say i purchased AnyDVD HD long ago, so i have it legally. Now what i have to say is following.

1. CloneBD is currently really buggy. It isn't something you can use even for 1:1 copies, it might crash

2. As an alternative i might suggest you to use AnyDVD HD alone creating ISOs of Blu-rays on your HDD and then simply burn them with Nero or something else. You need to have either AnyDVD HD trial or patched or w/ key for it. Plus Blu-ray burner drive and Nero. If you wanna use ISOs without having them burned on Blu-ray 50GB things, then you need PowerDVD Pro or Ultra and Daemon Tools.

@Olexiji

Thx! I am trying to "shrink" hollywood dual-layer Blu-Ray discs to single-layer. The difference in cost between the two is still substantial. I had hoped CloneBD would do the job. But, as you said, it seems to be "buggy" right now.
