Malwarebytes block

Hi,

Recently I can't access the front page because Malwarebytes is silently blocking it.

The webpage scanner is killing it without notice. I already had them white listed in the past but it doesn't seem to work anymore. Clearing the white list and adding them again didn't work.

Does someone got an idea how to fix this, preferably without killing the MBAM's web detection?

I added:

//www.nsanedown.com/

www.nsanedown.com

nsanedown.com

*.nsaneforums.com/ (it does work without btw)

46.249.59.39

Jeez this is annoying.

Thanks for any suggestion :)

I do not know if this will help but clear your whitelist out about Nsane. Then go to www.nsanedown.com when it blocks it Right click on Malwarebytes Icon in the Notification Area and tell Malwarebytes to Exclude it from blocking. Maybe this will help you. Do not add it Manually tell Malwarebytes to exclude it the way I tried to explain to you how to do it.

In fact, this problem has been going on for a very long time.

In fact, it might be time to remo the malware from the site and remove site from the MBAM and ESET blacklist.

However, somehow anyone does not want to do this. So, let it be blacklisted.
But I can't understand, to whom and why it is useful, to stand continuously blacklisted.

The Nude Dude

when it comes to malwarebytes and any security program turn off all active monitoring. it's truly not needed. if you download something sight click it and scan it with malwarebytrs and your virus software. set malwarebytes and your virus software to do a full scan of c once a week.

Thanks to you all.

I re-installed after doing a clean MBAM install, as per MBAM forum instructions.

I thought it worked adding the same exclusions as iih1 runs but a couple of tries later it fails again.

To be more specific, I don't get the MBAM blocking page. It just gives an connection error in Chrome. When I disable the MBAM webprotection nsane loads fine.

I'm still a bit in the dark why it does block when I have set an exclusion and why I don't see the blocking page, weird

I agree with you that using tons of anti-malware programs in the background is not really needed in fact I only used freeware version of malware bytes for some years . But its always good to use something while browsing the web . Because scanning programs that you download are not going protect against malware and exploits that are planted on some websites . I think some people go over board by using too much on real time stuff but you should use something to protect you while browsing the web . Your more likely to catch something from browsing the web than downloading from people you know.

Long time Firefox user here. Switched to Chrome because Firefox is/was definitely slower than Chrome. How do they compare these days?

Mine also has proxy.nsanedown.com in it ,maybe try adding that .I have no problems with the pages opening.

The proxy is used for downloading but adding it does nothing magic unfortunately.

Nsanedown was 1st snitched out to Malwarebytes back in 2010 in this topic.

https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/62260-ip-block-8517184224-false-positive/

Really has it prevented you from catching any malware using real time because there blocking warez sites for the heck of it? I had to exclude it Nsanedown in NOD32 but im also using NO Script , Bitdefender Traffic Light and Wot addons in my browser they have no problem with nsane :D

I got no Problems with FireFox. But then again I use LTE Connection. I just don"T have these problems, Bro. / Myself - I just don"t understand why U have these problems.

  • 2 weeks later...

Update:

As I was tired of Bitdefender I decided to try Eset Smart Security. Had some install trouble with it but ESET AV installed fine, so went that route.

When trying to solve the ESET I also reinstalled, MBAM, HitmanPro + Alert. Now nsanedown just loads with the same exclusions as before, so I thought...

:wtf:

All in all I'm happy now, thanks for all your help and suggestions
