Any news about a fix for ACDSee Ultimate 8.1 Build 377? The serials I get with the new CORE gen 4.2 are all checking as invalid for the Ultimate

So I'm stuck with the 8.0 version and can't update to the 8.1 :(

The Keygen v.4.2 works very well with this version.

Before getting the key you should press the button "patch host file" from keygen or add manually a command line into your hosts file located in: "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc" with this address:

127.0.0.1 acdid.acdsystems.com

Thanks for the answer. I was doing exactly that, checked the hosts file and saw the line is there, indeed. Although, it still won't check :/

I'm having no problems with Ultimate 8.0 or Pro 8.1, only the Ultimate 8.1 doesn't seem to like me, haha-

But thanks anyway! I will stick with the Pro, it's lighter :D

Keygen works. Tested with Windows 7 x64

1. Disable internet or block it with firewall

2. Patch host file

3. Install program and enter serial number (don't close the keygen)

4. Go to Help > offline registration and copy Request code from there

5. Generate Application Unlock Code

6. Enable internet

It doesn't work.

The only reason I see is probably caused by the language that differs. But I don't know how to change it post-installation (in a config file or such), and I can't choose it from the installer (it only want to install it in French even if my system is in English). The keygen is English based only. There's German and French too but it says "still not available" for ACDSee 8.

same here, KG does not work for the german ultimate, there are no serial numbers to create, only the text - not available, for the german Pro version, the KG works best.

hi guys,

because of the core kg works only for the english ultimate, i did an indirection to get the german ulti licensed.

what i did is, i "germanize" or "localize" the english, i think this must be work for the french too.

i have both releases of the acdsee ultimate 8.1.377 x64, the english and the german. i start the install of the german release, put in my install path and let the installer do his job. afterwards, i start the program, i see the license window coming up, i close the program because of missing serial. now i make a copy of the folders acdsee have installed to another place. the program folder in the path i choose and the data folder in c:\users\my profilename\appdata\local. then i open the regeditor, go to hkey_local_machine\software\ there is a acd systems thread, left click on this, then right and export. now i uninstall the german ulti because i have everthing i need for the translation. restart my computer, clean the registry -> delete the thread i had exported before, delete all folders of acdsee on my harddisk.

now i install the english ultimate, start the kg, patch the host, and start the program, the license screen comes up and i went through this, because the kg gives me the sn and all the other things i need. now i have the english ulti regged and close the program.

what i did now is, i open the program folder and see a folder "1033", this is for the english ulti, i copy the "1031" folder, from the german ulti -> i backed up before, to the program folder. rename the "startup" folder, and copy the german in to the english program folder. then i rename the "ACDSeeUltimate8.chm" and the "ACDSeeCommanderUltimate8.exe" and copy both from the german to the english folder. now i open the regedit, go to the acdsee thread in hkey_local_machine, i found "EN" in the "ACD Systems\AcdSee Ultimate\80" and in the "ACD Systems\AcdSee Ultimate\80\LClient", i changed both to "DE" for german language. then i change the "1033" in the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ACD Systems\ResourceLangID" into "1031". close the regedit, start the program and have a full german, the startup, the help, and all menus.

easy, isnt it :)

i hope this can help to install the program in the language you need.

is this for 32 or 64 bit windows?it has been noticed that acdsee is releasing new versions in 64 bit only

Hi,

This is for both, X86/64.

ACDSee Ultimate is only for x64.
