stylemessiah
I have seen this on one laptop i was asked to fix, i tried the usual* Stop update service, delete softwaredistribution service, restart, check updates* Remove previous known bad updates, then: Stop update service, delete softwaredistribution service, restart, check updates* SFC/DISM refresh/repairNadaIn the end after wasting 3 hours looking at every Ms kb on the POS that Windows 8 is and their multitude of errors, i called it time, did the sane thing and reinstalled it.Weeks later the person had yet more issues and wisely decided to let me run the factory store on it, which reverted it to the factory Windows 7. she realised the insanity of the inplace upgrade she had done and decided not to ever set foot in Windows 8 again (even via clean install) after the endless frustration of it
