rudrax
I have downloaded gparted.iso and made it bootable. Then I booted with gparted and the gparted main menu appears. Clicking any options in that menu, starts loading a console log with some error. Same happens in my friend's desktop too.So, what's going wrong? Mounted using ultraISO in my pen drive and then as per instructed, I double-clicked in a specific .bat file to make the pen drive bootable. And, yes, my system is windows 8.1. Is there any problem with that?

Is there any problem with that?Well, never used it by that way.First, to avoid any problems (which occured few times) I formated pen prior (FAT32) and then used tools to make it bootable.Tools are: TuxBoot (http://tuxboot.org/about/) or LiLi USB creator (http://www.linuxliveusb.com/). http://s12.postimg.org/n4d5x7kwd/Snap_Shot_2.pngMaybe you should download ISO again, or check crc just to be sure that everything is ok.Personaly TuxBoot has easier GUI, but both are good.Never had any problem after using these tools.About Win 8 that question I can not answer beacuse I never used it for long time.My wife use it but I just can not switch to it (many reasons). But it should be compatible, can check it tonight (will not be at home for next 10 hours) and report back to you how it works.
