Olexijl
Dear friends,It is long ago i made a patch for IDM and i admit, i forgot some knowledge. Since the purchase of IDM by myself it wouldn't make any sense anyway. However: the fact that IDM hosts file patcher i used before purchase does not work anymore forced me to rethink about it again. Some of you who know/knew gag reminded me to try again. The patch is for 6.21.17 only, so don't try it on any other. I'm also admitting that it isn't perfect, it has some 'beauty' error - in 'About Dialog' it has wrong description for internetdownloadmanager.com - where it relinks you to nsane instead, i forgot to change that description from internetdownloadmanager.com to nsanedown.comAnd now, speaking of this it has some advantages you should know:* automatic replacement of license (no serial - no "fake serial message")* brings you to nsane in Help section and About dialog, Google in systray* disabling 'Checking for Updates'* the real gag experienceI worked yesterday all the day on it, please forgive me with the wrong URL description in 'About dialog'....Site: http://www.datafilehost.com/ Sharecode: /d/f43f3ac6 [?]

I took that app and blocked every ip on the host list . So I'm no longer using host block I'm using Windows ip security policy manger to block ips instead. A lot those host lines are just blocking same ip by the way.//www.nsaneforums.com/topic/221281-internet-download-manager-620/page-5//www.nsaneforums.com/topic/221769-internet-download-manager-620-build-2/page-2From time to time IDM changes witch ips they check with but the ones that leaks thourgh hostblock are in the 184. range .I hear eagleget is downloading large files as corrupted - doesn`t happen most times with IDMAlways when I try eagleget some sites want resume right and dont get as many connects so its never worked as good as IDMThat's the ip list of hosts file, not all loop back to 184.173.188.10750.22.78.28 - tonec.com184.173.188.106 - registeridm.com184.173.188.107 - internetdownloadmanager.com184.173.188.104 - secure.internetdownloadmanager.com41.128.200.38 - www.secure.internetdownloadmanager.com this 1 in Egypt i think you will get another ip in your country69.41.163.149 - mirror.internetdownloadmanager.com50.97.82.44 - mirror2.internetdownloadmanager.com174.127.73.85 - mirror3.internetdownloadmanager.com50.22.78.29 - mirror4.internetdownloadmanager.com173.255.137.80 - mirror5.internetdownloadmanager.com50.97.41.98 - star.tonec.com202.134.64.74 - rev.dyxnet.comAnd also i used hosts file from a longtime with no problems or any fake serial, even with my clients, the only problem when you check for update and get a message "IDM cannot check for updates" and when you press continue IDM will clear the hosts file and will check and connect againIf your using host blocks still its a miracle . I use to use it before June and one day I clean installed IDM . And it would not register online and I checked it with and ip sniffer internet was getting through . Once I blocked the IP in IPSEC instead of host it worked . I tested it on next build on a clean install with and ip sniffer even though it let me register it was still leaking though when it told me it was going check for updates every 2 weeks . Last time I tested host block it would always unregister me . It still works blocking in IPSEC as far as know but for a while im just blocking ips in my firewall.Try it in vmware if you can, install IDM and use patch i use for example to patch it and register it then use hosts, make sure when you check for update you get this message and don't press continue IDM will clear the hosts again just cancel itpatch:http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/IOV9LMUW/idm.6.21.16-patch.zip_links127.0.0.1 tonec.com127.0.0.1 www.tonec.com127.0.0.1 registeridm.com127.0.0.1 www.registeridm.com127.0.0.1 secure.registeridm.com127.0.0.1 internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 www.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 secure.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 www.secure.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 mirror.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 www.mirror.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 mirror2.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 www.mirror2.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 mirror3.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 www.mirror3.internetdownloadmanager.com127.0.0.1 star.tonec.com127.0.0.1 rev.dyxnet.comAnd make sure to exclude your hosts file in your antivirus and let me knowWell blocking just the 22 known ips in the exe with windows 8 firewall control works fine for me . And i can still access IDM web site, I really dont have no desire to use IPSEC or host blocks anymore because they both block acess to websites.Maybe someone that not as advanced in blocking ips wants to give it shot and tell us is it working for them .can you pm me with this list i will try it

R3C0N
why not just post the needed entries to put in hosts file. No patcher for host file needed in my opinion but a universal search-replace pattern based patcher to remove the call home IPs and urls from the program files (netmonitor, dup, hexeditor + time to create it is needed). Avitar
Okay, lemme save you all some serious headache and a permanent scarring of your machine. IDM Liscence Faker doesn't permanently work. You keep getting a fake serial message. There is only one way.Download the patch listed on the front page but don't use the patch.exe from it. You want the Keygen.exe.Then download this. You want M3 (method 3) as it is the best method since it patches the key check and replaces it by a long jmp instruction in assembler.http://www.mirrorcreator.com/files/0NKKLL8C/IDM-RE.7z_linksAfter install exit IDM from the tray by right clicking and exit. Run Method 3. Start IDM and use the keygen to generate a serial. No more worries. If you're lost, I'll start a new topic with idiot proof instructions and pictures and maybe a video also for the not so technologically inclined. Cyberboom
I'm also admitting that it isn't perfect, it has some 'beauty' error - in 'About Dialog' it has wrong description for internetdownloadmanager.com - where it relinks you to nsane instead, i forgot to change that description from internetdownloadmanager.com to nsanedown.comAnd now, speaking of this it has some advantages you should know:* automatic replacement of license (no serial - no "fake serial message")* brings you to nsane in Help section and About dialog, Google in systray* disabling 'Checking for Updates'* the real gag experienceI worked yesterday all the day on it, please forgive me with the wrong URL description in 'About dialog'....Site: http://www.datafilehost.com/ Sharecode: /d/f43f3ac6 [?]are there any new versions of your patch ? btw I like your work .. ;)
