kn_andre is it as configurable as bitdefender?

Configuration settings is a Bit different from Bitdefender. Though it uses the bitdefender Scan Engine and it gets Updated with Bitdefender Virus Signatures. As can be clearly seen from the Screenshots i Posted, it has quite a few Menus and Options that you can Configure to your own Prefference. From the Main Mode and Settings, you can Configure it to any Security Level which you want. Cheers ...

Any source to download new updates  .

As it Uses Bitdefender Engine, you can just go to Bitdefender Website to Manualy Download the Latest Virus Signatures and Install them. Or you can Just Reinstall it again Fresh but Leave it alone while it Updates itself. Turns out that Virus Chaser Servers are a Bit Slow ( Depending on which Location you are Located ) So it Might Actually Take more time while Updating and Even Seems to hang,,, It Does not Hang, what happens is that it is Trying to Download All the more than 800 Definitions of all 6 months back.

But you could try using a Korean IP while Freshly Installing it and it will Download those Signatures Faster .. You have to decide which Option you would go for.. Manual Download from Bitdefender or Using Korean IP to Fresh Install it and Note to Leave it alone while it Downloads the Updates .. Do not Stop it .. It might take a very long time to Complete.. But After you are able to get the Latest Updates, you can set it to Download Updates every hour from Settings ... There and then you can Really test it and see its Perfomance ..... Waiting to hear your result.... :) :) Good Luck and Cheers ..

Oh .. and just to add, i head it working fine on Windows 10 Technical Preview ...

Ah... Yeah .. Of course i have seen that before and i know the OS they Official say they Support. But, if you read my Post closely, you would see that i said i " Heard " it was working on Windows 10 Technical Preview..

Another Virus Chaser user on Wilders said it and i quote : " I can confirm that while Virus Chaser does not officially support any OS after Windows 7, it is working fine with Windows 10 Technical Preview." You can read and verify HERE

And to Add... Newer Does not always Means it is Better .......... Whistles and Bells of Terminology / Designs of Supposed " Latest Version " Does Not Always mean Stronger or better Performance.. I personally use whatever works Best for me so Long as it is Lighter and does not Slow down my System or Hog my Resources... I do not care about Version or the Year it was made ... That's just me though... Cheers..
