f33nix
Can you elaborate when you say nothing happens? The latest versions and 2 versions before the most current give errors due to a fight with your Anti-Virus program and some new "hardening" of the whole system that Oracle has implemented. In times gone by I would simply load on the next update each time they released and had no issues. With some time and experimentation I have found that updating your installs is not recommended! I done this from 4.3.18 to 4.3.20 and it would freeze my mouse/keyboard unless I booted into safe mode.If I removed 4.3.16 / 4.3.18 then reboot and install 4.3.20 then I do not have a bug.Other thing you need of course if to make sure that your computer BIOS is enabled for virtualisation, a common mistake is to think things will just work, then the default for most BIOS settings is to have Virtualisation set to disabled.I have Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit and have been running VBox for many years, I only mainly run Windows XP (32-bit) for a few programs that will never run on 64-bit machines.I have loaded before to test 64-bit Linux operating systems with no ill effects.I would suggest that to be helped, you need to show screenshots of your errors and to state what you have done just before this happens. If you can I would also recommend you remove ALL traces of 4.3.16 and try to load a clean copy of 4.3.20 but do not UPGRADE! MasterFaster
Use v4.3.12 , all later builds have the security changes that cause various problems/freezes (even BSODs).
Jime234
Use v4.3.12 , all later builds have the security changes that cause various problems/freezes (even BSODs).have you tried it personally bro ?cause I searched on the net and found a post that said 4.3.16 was stable & working and the later 4.3.18 & above were cr@pBut still 4.3.16 isn't working for me..If you have a post or link for a perfect vbox installation tutorial ,then please link me ..
MasterFaster
of course I have tried them:4.3.14VirtualBox didn't start. It showed a message in a window and then exit4.3.18 and 4.3.20VirtualBox starts, but it's useless. You cannot run a virtual machine.4.3.16 it didn't work either, but I don't remember which issue from the above I had (I think it didn't start at all, like 4.3.14)Also older builds like 4.2.26 which incorporates the security fixes also didn't start. It showed a message in a window and then exitAll these problems exist because of the security changes in VirtualBox that conflict with your AntiVirus/Security software.Do an experiment if you want: Uninstall VirtualBox, Uninstall your Security/AntiSpyware/AntiVirus/Firewall software (to protect yourself it is wise to disable internet before doing this). Now install the latest VirtualBox 4.3.20 and see if it works.Note: If you read the forums of VirtualBox, someone said that 4.3.16 worked for him, but someone else said that didn't. I say that only 4.3.12 actually works. The versions from 4.3.14 to 4.3.20 are non working.Suggestion: Test all these versions and choose which works for you

I had vmware but still downloaded that Virtual :shit: Box !! :bag:All in vain :wut:PS: vmware also had issuesBut this Vbox is the worst , still survey shows that more than 50% users use it  I wonder how (I guess by living dangerously with no av installed ) :doh:have you tested any 64bit isos ?PS: I'll put an exclusion for the vboxinstall folder in my ESET-SS7 and then give the v :shit:box a last try again, 1s & fr al. (asks for a kernel something)Trying out build 9888 now -_-Also:I enabled Intel VT in BIOS. may be that was the culprit.
