Chatman
There is something wrong with Microsoft Updates. Today, Windows Update showed to me:- 28 important(few for Windows, few for Office),- 2 optionals(KB3013769, KB3013816).Take care of update KB 3013769!Make a manual restore point before installing this update, because, after installing, it is possible to get BSOD and your PC will could not start. The Automatic Repair is useless. For me, it was necessary to restore the PC to a previous state, then I have put this update to Hidden Updates, to get rid of it. IAmKing
I had Excel problems after yesterdays updates, turned out I needed to remove some temp files that conflicted with the updates. Not saying it will help you, but it would be a start, clean out all "c:\users\<username>\appdata\local\temp" files, reboot and check.
locoJoe
I just dont understand why people rush to install MS Updates on Patch Tuesday. Whats the old saying?! : Fools rush in where wise men fear to travel. The key words being fool and rush....
mike.mt
Guyz I found that installing this update is the culprit!!Don't install thisKB3004394@ kantry123… I empathise with you….. But as with yourself & others of us that have been around the IT learning curve block a few times, are aware that certain updates that MS have thrown out this year have caused major headaches on various system configs. Sometimes due to user’s prior software/ system / registry corruption & in other cases MS has no clue why the incompatibility issue occurred?Good to see that you are one of the sensible guys that takes a system image before biting the bullet & making system making changes. Nice result in pinpointing the culprit KB.All the best.
