{solved} windows 8.1 bootloop after installing Tuesday updates

I don't know if it's just me but I've observed that window 8 and later has some issue with some 3rd party apps and sometimes with its own.

It is a Microsoft problem - regardless of Windows 7 or Windows 8. ;)
No, it wasn't with xp. Well, you can tell that now it's not a part of windows. This sh!t has started with 7 and tighten in later versions.

You may be surprised, but - the update issue was always present in XP, too (albeit - with less severity.)

Fortunately or unfortunately, the severity has increased simply due to the higher security implemented with the latest OS such as Windows 7 and 8.

Oh yes. I've forgot to mention some conflicting apps in this regard. 2nd time I've confirmed that after installing the UX theme utility from uxstyles.com, I suffered reformat again.

So, from this, what I can asume is, some instructions are injected in some major (may be minor too) windows updates to verify default states of system files. If the files arn't found in their default states or prevented/modified the codes generated by those files, windows 8.x breakes itself in the middle getting its tongue on its a**h**e.

And wait, it doesn't do that for reputed vendors. For example, say, stardock instead of uxstyles. You can use window blinds from stardock without any problems but not uxstyles (they have told it as 'possibly bugged' and it is because they can't fix if there's nothing to fix).

I am afraid this is a case of knowledge deficiency.

@dcs18, you can say anything but the truth is for the sake of security they are snatching the right to customize the OS - even the fundamental ones.

I'll look into the knowledge deficiency scenario though.

Quite true!

You would never have found me lamenting and complaining about that - it is not yet impossible to customize the latest OS.

Every little extra bit of security is a bonus and the latest OS ship with loads of security - can't really find myself grumbling over it.

I reckon when Windows Vista attempts to boot Windows 8 by dual-booting Windows 7 - something is gonna break, somewhere. :P

I'm not talking about the circumstances related to a pro user. What about crying n00bs like us?

A OS can't be just made taking only pro users in mind. N00bs should be there too.

An extra layer of security is always welcomeda but why it has to elemenate the basic customization rights like, changing titlebar font color, window background color - these I can never understand. I don't want MS to allow a 3rd party theme - this thing is understandable but why can't they just allow us the basic things like changing colors?

Until recently, I had this habit of insulting n00bs. Z0H7kHA.gif

Not anymore - it dawned upon me that I make my bucks only and only due to the existence of n00bs (in ample abundance.) :sneaky:

I have a question, i been using windows more than 10 years and never used windows updates i normally disable it only try it every new system and only update my system every service pack or if there's new system come up and never had any problems, only watch people reporting some bad updates from Microsoft, and i believe that update take a lot of space and may harm your system by mistake like this week, and about security your can use a good firewall but anyway hackers not waiting to hack you lol

Why you update your windows if your system works fine?!

There is no law that states that n00bs are not entitled to upgrade themselves - n00bs have rights, too.

Why should anyone insist on clinging-on to their n00b status unto eternity? :tehe:

Alright, now you are talking about upgrading a n00b to pro. Fair enough as you think it. But in real time, many n00bs don't have time/interest/brain to go through google, sign up in some forums to learn the official and unofficial work arounds.

Just because you earn some penny doing pro thing, you can't expect that other may have scope or interest in doing the same. And you won't wish that either as you get the penny from the n00bs which you have stated earlier.

So it's a shame on a OS for being so buggy for the sake of security. The more windows upgrade, the more bugs it shows and what's the excuse for that? Oh yes - it's security reason. Why you can't change the titlebar font color? Oh yes - it's a security reason. Well, you won't mind 'em all as the more bugs, the more you fix and earn more.

Funny . . . . . . . . how n00bs seem to have ample time to grumble and beat their breasts. :tehe:

Yep, I am business-minded and yeah n00bs pay for the welfare and well-being of my family - remember, despite my selfishness I do share my black art provided it gets asked in a manner, befitting King Porus. :tehe:

Agreed wholeheartedly - it is a shame on Microsoft for doling out sh!t and it is a shame on the n00bs for eating the Microsoft sh!t.

Shame and blame apart, when one and his generation are gonna thrive off n00bs - who am I to complain. :tehe:

ps:--

It is possible to change the color of the title bar - however, the choice is all yours (depending on which side of the battle field you decide to populate yourself - King Porus or Alexander.)

The choice is always yours and yours, alone.

 The thing isn't about me or a single prospective. This is where you misundestood.

And, I wasn't talking about titlebar color. It was titlebar font color.

And quotes apart, this is a real time situation. The choice is yours and always it will be yours but what about the circumstances under which you've made your choice - that's important too.

It is not about you - it never was.

And, I wasn't talking about titlebar color. It was titlebar font color.

And I, was referring to both - the color of the Title Bar and the Font, as well.

The circumstance is elementary, Dr Watson - you can either be the victim or the engineer of the circumstance.

Ok, I'd like to know if there's a way of changing titlebar font color without any 3rd party apps or modifying any system file.

And yes, you are absolutely right about those two conditions regarding circumstances. That's what I was pointing. Being a victim, you can do nothing except accepting the only choice available if the other option is out of reach.

WTH, without modifying system files - may I suggest changing the color with lipstick . . . . . . . . . . . on your screen. :sneaky:

Why so curious about the payment! You shouldn't have to worry about my payment criteria. COD works fine in India :tehe:

And about the follow thing, we both are good buddies and like to follow each other, does that offend you, mate?
