steven36
What dont make no sense is at there homepage they only offer the ones with-dotnet45, but if you use AMD Driver Autodetect it will give you the drivers without-dotnet if you have dotnet already installed, . in order to download the standalone ones without-dotnet just change it in the link to without-dotnet45 and they work
jvidal
Avoid this drivers at all costs!!!They're useless. Although they install correctly, after rebooting, windows refuses to load the driver because it can not verify the driver signature.AMD/ATI have outdone theirselves again, releasing a driver even crappier than the previous one!you've been warned.BTW, changing the link to without-dotnet45 DOES NOT WORK, takes me o a page "download not complete"Can someone provide WORKING links? steven36
Avoid this drivers at all costs!!!I have no problems with amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-without-dotnet45-win8.1-64bit.exe and amd-catalyst-omega-14.12-sb-sata-ahci-win8.1-win7.exe . flash48
I loaded this graphics driver on a desktop with Radeon 5670. It is working fine on my machine.
jvidal
didn't work for me. After installing on an A6-6400K (with radeon HD8470D) and rebooting, windows refuses to load the driver because it can not find a digital signature...I managed to get the non-dotnet installers. I'm gonna try those...Oh, and BTW,I'm on win7-64, not win81.
spudboy
Working fine for me after several reboots on an i5 2500k @ HD7950. Those of you experiencing problems, are you clean installing or installing over top of a previous version? I HIGHLY recommend Display Driver Uninstaller for a completely clean uninstall, then trying again. The program is highly spoken of on Guru3D, so it's not just some random app from out of nowhere. :-) http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/Also, anyone using one of the AMD HDMI Audio Bug fixes will have to redo it after a clean uninstall/reinstall. jvidal
I tried both, installing over previous ver. and clean install after DDU.Strangely enough, the driver works just fine on my laptop with E2-2000 APU w/radeon HD7340, but on my mom's A6-6400K w/Radeon HD8470D it doesn't (windpws refuses to load the driver b/c it can't find a valid signature. Also, while installing, I noticed an error about a missing package, that's probably the culprit)
steven36
You should never install them over top that can miss them up right there . Ive always been weary of 3rd party uninstallers for AMD because when I 1st bought my computer AMD had there own uninstaller tool (AMD Catalyst Clean Uninstall Utility) I had to redo windows 8 every time I used it . Now they have pulled it from there site .more info windows 7 usershttp://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=374850more info windows 8 usershttp://www.overclock.net/t/1350750/win-8-users-warning-about-amd-uninstallation-utilityA lot of people say DDU is good but i rather not, because even the developers couldn't make one that worked right. After i figured out what was messing my windows installs up by doing a few searches . I just do it the recommended wayhttp://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspxI never had any ill effects since besides having adjust a setting in Catalyst Manger . All updates have went smooth . :)
Norfdas
Have not tried this version. But the last update I run from AMD for my graphic card was a terrible mess!So I skip this until they are making a total stable version of the driver. Those having install issues need to remove Microsoft update KB3004394. It's a problem with yesterdays Windows Update, not an AMD problem.

jvidal
That is weird. Why would the driver fail on one pc and not on the other? both have the same OS and the same patches installed...

flash48
I have an AMD processor (Phenom II X6 1055T) and an AMD graphics card (Radeon HD 5670) running under Windows 7 64bit.Whenever a new graphics driver comes out, I install it right over the old (without removing). So far I have never hit any problems since I got the rig (March 2011).Since there are an infinite number of hardware configurations for WinTel machines, Windows can sometimes become very sensitive. ;)
jvidal
Seems that M$ pulled kb3004394.We have several PCs here in my house and only one had problems after installing the update (catalyst omega wouldn't work). On the others, see no problems, omega drivers install fine on my laptop, vmware works fine on my main PC.Who knows what makes this update bad some machines and not for others..all running W7 x64

jvidal
To answer my own question: This 'hotfix' driver can be installed as any regular catalyst drivers. It works just fine. You don't need a previous driver installed.c ya!
