mancode20
I can't get one of my extensions to work with this new beta. Is there a way to get it working, or am I going to have to go back to 34.05? I tried to disable it, then re-enable it, but that didn't work. That had worked in the past upon upgrading Firefox. The only thing I haven't tried is un-installing it and re-installing it, but I have a feeling that won't work. I think Mozilla changed something, which is stopping it from working. Can anyone get this extension to work? I don't know why Mozilla can't just build that into Firefox, or take over the dead extension. This extension is very important, cause I use it to manage my tab groups. On the plus side: It does run faster and has smoother scrolling without it, but I like being able to switch my tab groups quickly from the toolbar. Let me know if you get it working somehow. Can someone hack the .xpi file or something? TabGroups Menu-https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/tabgroups-menu/

Is there a way to get it working again by hacking the .xpi file or something?Really most stuff stops working because of compatibility can be overrode with Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks add-on but once the functions break due not being looked after the only way to keep it working would be a add-on developer to a make and another version off the same code. Things are going to get much worse for old add-ons when ever they use e10s in the stable . you may end having disable it just to use some add-ons I dont need no sandbox . I been using NO Script for years and never been effected by one exploit . But you take people who dont use it have . ;)

As you said, it appears to be the best alternative. Once you add the toolbar icon to the toolbar, it's very similar. Is there a way to make the text size bigger on the group names and the tabs themselves within the tab menu? Perhaps with a user style code? Thanks again! anuseems
Plenty of extensions broke down with this beta. Reverted to 34.0.5. Extensions are more important and worthy than an unstable beta.

steven36
I would like to know witch addons are broke ? You must use really ones old ones . Just testing Firefox 36 developer edition all my addons seem to work only one was not compilable was IDM but Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks addon over rides it and it works :D
mancode20
I mentioned in my post that TabGroups Menu doesn't work anymore. Yes, it's very old and long dead, but it worked fine with 34.05. It only stopped working in 35 Beta 1. I even had someone hack the .xpi file, but that didn't work either. Changing the version number in the .xpi file is the same thing as using Disable Addon Check extension, right? If it's not, I might have to try that extension as well. I'm using TabGroups Helper in the meantime. Enhanced Middle Click is good as well. You think Mozilla will fix the change that broke some of our addons in Beta 2? I hope so! steven36
Ive cracked add-ons before, but only for programs that had and app that required to it be registered XPI that had code in them would detect a keygened are cracked exe . But most all add-ons If its a simple compatibility issue . Disable Add-on Compatibility Checks addon over rides it . More times than not if its not a compatibility issue and Mozilla changed the code you would need to know a workaround to make there code work.
