CCleaner 5.00.5050

CCleaner (Crap Cleaner) is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. It removes unused files from your system allowing Windows to run faster and freeing up valuable hard disk space. It also cleans traces of your online activities such as your Internet history. Additionally it contains a fully featured registry cleaner. But the best part is that it's fast (normally taking less than a second to run) and contains NO Spyware or Adware!

Thanks to Batu69 for the update.

My portable, pro version can't detect "Winapp2.ini" file. Why? I put this file to folder with portable version and still nothing.

The new improved GUI looks like Crap

crap2 => But think about what an economic victory, if the designer does not need to pay.

Put it into the folder containing CCleaner.exe (possibly CCleaner.ini and/or portable.dat, and branding.dll there also).

I use Piriform's, so not totally familiar, but in PortableApps format the 'App' folder contains the program directory.

Don't put it in the folder with the Portable launcher. It needs to be with the program executable.

Looks like it belongs in Windows 8.1. Matches all that Metro Stuff. I am getting used to the Gaudi Look.

When I upgraded to version 5, CCleaner doesn't appear in my system tray, but I'm still using the tech edition. :(

Did you double-check the Settings area in CCleaner? The Monitoring feature will put its icon in the system tray, as well as the option to minimize CCleaner to the system tray upon close. Two different options so be sure to check them both.

Thanks! I fixed it. All I had to do was uncheck and check the monitoring option. My system tray icon is back! :D

It is just human nature I think. I think the GUI looks good. At least it does not look like that awful Diskeeper GUI. Comic Book Look.
