AM1 socket CPUs require AM1 socketed motherboards.
AM3 socket CPUs require AM3 socketed motherboards.

So, clearly, the answer would be NO. However, there are a few decent choices for motherboards in the AM1 category -- just not good for gaming.

that will be the worst buy you could make a X3 is a X4 with one layer that FAILED QC and has been turned off IMHO a CPU like that is a failure waiting to happen.

I know that with a procedure called "CPU core unlock" (supported by my motherboard) I can transform X3 (3Cores) ------- > X4 (4 Cores)

In this way it would change the situation?
