Here is a full window scrolling sample from SnagIt - you can cross reference it (for rendition) against the original page:--

I've been using Ashampoo Snap for last 4 years and have to say a SCROLLING FEATURE, that is really important feature, actually got worse in v. 6 and 7 than it was in v.5

So would like to know :

Does the scrolling feature in Snagit work really fluently and with all main browsers ?

Hi all

Tried SnagIt and is it really easy to capture scrolling windows. Also tried FastStone Capture but is it not as friendly as SnagIt.

As soon as I find it going to try Nimbus Screenshot.

Thanks to all.

Snagit is the best so far

Faststone doesn't have a good UI but works very good

I guess that depends on browser compatibility (mainly). I can confirm Faststone Capture works nice with Comodo Dragon 33+, if you use it, i would recommend. SnagIt does too but i like Faststone more. I previously used FullShot but scroll capture was a PITA and literally screwed every single scroll capture for whatever reason and i quit using it because it hasn't been updated nor improved anymore but could be a incompatibility with the browser used.

Could somebody provide some links for Snagit and Faststone (+ relevant medicines). please.

I think I'm ready for a change.

+1 for Faststone Capture. {small in size and portable too} :)

Do you know a link for PORTABLE version ?

Have personally tried most screenshot programs with Firefox - SnagIt is a clear winner, on nearly all counts.

Have discarded all other browsers - SnagIt was tested only on Firefox (by me.)

I tried some previous version of Snagit but came back to Ashampoo Snap since I was already used to it and definitely liked Ashampoo Snap extremely handy interface (a toolbar by the screen boarder) more. I was even ready to sacrifice some more advanced Snagit features for that.

But now the scroll doesn't work properly in ASnap so it's probably time for a change.

If you told Snagit works great with FF (hope with PaleMoon as well) - I'll give Snagit a shot.. Thanks, dcs18. :)

Whilst selecting a screenshot program, a very important criterion which remains neglected is the editing capability of that program.

A cleverly edited picture can express with far more credibility and convenience what words cannot.

In this field Snagit is unbeatable.

I use Hypersnap Portable.

Scroll Page: Captures an image of an entire page or document, required for a page that extends below the visible screen.

Scroll Region: Select this function to scroll down a precise region that extends down below the viewing area of the screen.

This scroll region looks interesting ..... Have you got any download link handy ?
