Need a program that will run a script when a file changes, database updated

I have a MS SQL Server database that I want to back up regularly as its mission critical.

when we were running MSAccess we had a single file that I used to use Genie Timeline for and every change to the database in a 3 minute period used to be backed up, no changes then no backup.

I want to do something similar with MS SQL Server but cant find anything, anyone know anything that will do the same thing??
