Karamjit
i recently noticed a strange thing in my windows7 system. every time in folder options i check the box "hide extensions for known file types". but after restart or next day, i see this option box is unchecked. and my file extensions are shown by system. is there any malware that is responsible for this??? rudrax
Then you have something in your system that restores your settings back to a predefined point on shutdown. I have heard of such application but can't remember a name right now. If that's not the problem, then you should try running Ccleaner once if that helps.
