[Solved] Problem in assigning hotkey in windows 8.1

As you can see in the image below, I have assigned a hotkey for a particular application which I want to run when pressed Ctrl+Alt+Z. So I have assigned the key combination. But when I press the key combination, nothing happens. If I open that application by mouse, it works but doesn't work with the assigned hotkey.

Thanks for your response. I think you are the only capable person to give a solution for this problem.

You suggested to keep the program path between double quotes ("..."). I tried doing that but after adding those quotes and clicking the apply button, windows removes them automatically. May be it's a new feature in windows 8.1 that it doesn't need the quotes anymore.

SO IT DIDNT WORK I SUPPOSE i myself have seen windows removing quotes and parenthesis

WELL CAN YOU SEE THE APPS (installed and stortcut made by installation like bit torrent) have those quotes cause in my win 8.1 i can see them perfectly

and how did you make the shortcut - right click on desktop - new - shortcut or any other method

see i clearly made shortkeys (VLC) i pressed ctrl and 1 number it made it ztrl+alt+1 and when i press all three keys it does work i

What a weird problem it is! Directly assigning the hotkey as Ctrl+Alt+Z won't work. I assigned Ctrl+Alt+1 first, applied it and then removed the 1 with Z and it worked!
